Eberly brings ballet to Fayette

Robert Eberly III was tired of sitting on the sidelines as his sisters studied ballet, so he decided to study ballet himself.

As a result, he developed a lasting love for this art form. When Eberly saw an opportunity to partner with Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, to bring the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre to Penn State Fayette Campus, he eagerly offered his aid.

Their efforts were rewarded recently when the Pittsburgh Ballet performed at the Maggie Hardy Magerko auditorium.

“I wanted to bring the arts to Fayette County, so that people here wouldn’t have to travel to Pittsburgh,” Eberly said.

He hopes that aspiring dancers will find positive roles in the dancers.

“We have many dance studios in this area.” Eberly said. “I want young people to be able to see the potential fruits of their labor.
