A Donora man wanted in the slayings of a retired Carroll Township police chief and his wife was captured during a drug bust in South Union Township Wednesday.
Tecko Tartt, 21, was arrested by a contingent of the Fayette County Drug Task Force, Uniontown police and state police during the bust in the parking lot of a business on New Salem Road around 10 p.m., police said.
Tartt is charged with two counts of criminal conspiracy to commit homicide, criminal conspiracy to commit robbery, criminal conspiracy to commit theft and receiving stolen property for his alleged role in the shooting deaths of Howard Springer, 63, and Nancy Springer, 65.
